Eric Stephenson won the Clawson festival’s fund raising button contest

CLAWSON — The Clawson Fourth of July Committee has chosen Eric Stephenson, a senior at Clawson High School, for his winning design in the 2014 Button Contest. Competition was tough this year as there were a record-breaking 192 entries, according to a press release, and thanks go out to the students and teachers from Schalm and Kenwood Elementary Schools, Clawson Middle School and Clawson High School. The committee also is giving special thanks to the local Staples for donating copy services, LifetimeMothers.com for donating the prize money and Doug Dearth at Dearth Co. for his graphic design help. Stephenson received a $50 prize for his winning entry. Buttons will be available for one dollar at Leon and Lulu, Hair Razors, Blair Memorial Library, Clawson City Hall and all Fourth of July events.
